Clinical Pharmacist - Learn more
Individual positions may focus on a variety of programs and initiatives including but not limited to:
- Account Management-
Responsible for providing support to core clinical programs such as DUR, providing support for CMS requirements and formulary management. Researches and synthesizes detailed clinical data, and prepares and presents drug monograph information to the P & T committee.
- Health Outcomes Analytics- Pharmacoeconomic, outcomes research, and budget impact models and analytical tool development using integrated pharmacy, medical, and lab data to support formulary and outcomes management of pharmacy based clinical programs.
- Formulary Management- Ensure the timely development of a current formulary by working with key internal departments and client contacts. Represent Select Accounts in clinical discussions and monitor new drug and generic drug introductions and advise client on related P&T reviews and updates.
- Medicare Part D- Responsible for supporting external clients on Medicare Part D formulary, providing guidance and clarification regarding formulary clinical decisions.

Monitors, evaluates and develops action plans to implement a variety of pharmacy programs and initiatives including but not limited to:

- Quality initiatives
- DUR

Pharmacy requirements.
Develops and implements clinical cost of care and quality initiatives as needed.
Interacts with and attends State DUR board meetings and audit review meetings as necessary.
Manages and updates State Formulary according to Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee recommendations.
